Fraser Suites the serviced apartment/boutique hotel in Edinburgh has announced a city walks programme as part of an agreement with World Heritage. The programme features two walks for guests which follow set itineraries in both Edinburgh’s new and old towns and give a real insight to the city’s architectural heritage and its history.
Both walks commence from the property’s St Giles Street address which is in the city’s old town and close to the Royal Mile and the iconic castle. Then, both take guests (walkers) through the most historic streets of Edinburgh with a prepared itinerary which gives information and the history of the sites along the way with even “look up” “look down” notes and details so nothing is missed.
Said Zsolt Jakri, Assistant General Manager, Fraser Suites Edinburgh, “It is so important for us to provide our guests with a more enjoyable stay and an appreciation of Edinburgh its history and architectural heritage. These World Heritage guides are a perfect way to enjoy the city. At the property we will have a complimentary tea and coffee station for our guests during August. While the walking tours are absolutely free we do suggest that our guests make a donation to World Heritage Trust so that they can continue this fine work of making us aware of the history around us”
Fraser Suites Edinburgh offers 75 contemporary rooms, suites and apartments – from Classic Rooms to One Bedroom Deluxe Apartments. Situated in St Giles Street in the city’s ‘old town’ which is off the Royal Mile and just a step to Edinburgh Castle. The property is housed in a carefully restored listed building in this historic part of the city. Facilities include a bistro styled restaurant ‘The Broadsheet Bistro’ so called as this part of Edinburgh was once the centre of the newspaper industry.
