Red, White, Ice Wine…have your pick at the 2012 Montmarte Grape Harvest Festival

Frasers Hospitality

For over 50 years, the annual Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival has brought locals and tourists together to pay homage to Bacchus. The first grape harvest was held in 1934, to celebrate the newly opened Clos Montmartre Vineyard (corner of rue Saint-Vincent and rue des Saules, 75018). The owners wanted to revive the wine-making tradition in Paris, which had declined over the years in favor of urbanization and decided that a festival was a great way to kick start the revival. This year, the Montmartre grape harvest festival is sponsored by Anggun and Jean-Luc Petitrenaud and is happening from 10 – 14 October.

The Montmartre grape harvest festival is a big event centered around taste and gastronomy. Organized by the City hall of the XVIIIth arrondissement of Paris, this festival gathers all the artistic expressions, exhibitions, concerts, parades and round table discussions about wine. Free workshops allow participants to discover and identify different types of spices, syrups, bread and olive oil. Since 1934, the arrival of the vintages from the mound vineyards has always been met with great anticipation and buzz. Local products and crafts will also be sold during the festival. All profits made from the sale of the vineyards bottles of Montmartre will be entirely redistributed to the charitable works of the 18th arrondissement

On October 13th, there will be fireworks on the Louis Michel Square (9, Place Saint-Pierre, Paris, 75018) from 9.45 pm to 10.45 pm. For the 6th year running, Joseph Couturier will be the conductor of the festival’s much anticipated pyro-melodic show.

Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet
effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say that you’ve done a
superb job with this. Additionally, the blog loads extremely
fast for me on Chrome. Excellent Blog!

Howdy! This blog post could not be written any better!
Going through this article reminds me of my previous roommate!
He continually kept talking about this. I’ll forward this information to him. Fairly certain he will have a great read. Thank you for sharing!

Did you make this website yourself? Please reply back as I’m planning to create my very own blog and want to know where you got this from or just what the theme is named. Kudos!

One thing that goes in complete favor of corporate apartments is that there are no hidden charges.
No worrying about late night arrivals disturbing you at night or
listening to the sound of the elevator during all night.
With so many more attractions to be explored, Edinburgh
has the magic of making your holiday or business trip
very interesting and exciting. You may start wondering, where to go and whom to consult for small enquiries.
