The Giant Christmas Tree on Place de la Concorde – Installed on December 6th at the Place de la Concorde, the biggest Christmas tree in all of Europe is currently delighting both visitors and inhabitants of Paris with its impressive beauty. Guests staying at the Fraser Suites Le Claridge Champs-Elysées or Fraser Suites Harmonie can be equally delighted by visiting the tree, which will be up until January 3, 2013, during their visit to Paris.
The tree stands tall at an amazing 35 meters high, right in the middle of one of the most majestic squares in Paris, the Place de la Concorde. The tree is a natural coniferous tree that has come from a forest in the French town of Moselle. The tree has been brought to this spot thanks to the children’s television network Nickelodeon and the Paris City Hall. The height of the tree equals that of another major monument in the Concorde area: the Obélisque.
Visitors can enjoy a ride in La Grande Roue Ferris wheel, also at the Place de la Concorde, for a panoramic view of Paris. So grab your chance and admire the city of lights from the cab of the Ferris wheel, 60 meter off the ground. A spectacle in daytime, it is even better at night when all the lights are on.
