#happysweet16FrasersHospitality When I was 16 , I am still a student and my dream holiday destination is in Singapore hotel because at that time, I set a goal with my boyfriend which is now my husband that every monthly anniversary we will celebrate it at Singapore Hotel as it’s not too costly and at the same time we can take a break as different hotel have different cozy room, nice food and different facilities . At that age 16, instead of dreaming we perserved and make it happened ! At age 16 , we are not capable of having a trip so we don’t have any dream destination except Singapore as Singapore can be a small country but there are still many places for us to explore !

A happy sweet 16 to Frasers Hospitality! When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was London! Harry Potter was my favourite films/books when I was 16! I still remembered how fan-crazy I was to even tell myself I would visit platform 9 3/4 at King’s Cross station and do the exact pose as Harry Potter! I even made a list of “must-go” places which all comprise of where Harry Potter was filmed! Even till now, I would love to visit London, but mainly to experience the culture, sipping a cup of coffee along the street and feeding pigeons at the plaza. 🙂

When I was 16, I wished I could go to Australia to watch a netball game and play boxing with kangaroos. Now that I’m more than 16, I’m hoping to head to Sydney for the next World Netball Championships, have a pancake and walk up the Sydney bridge and watch the sun set! 🙂

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Budapest! I love the ancient infrastructure and it is a place where there are many historical remains. This thought to visit Budapest has been etched in my memory when I was still studying History in school, when all the architecture comes to play. Furthermore they are termed capital of spas and a spa-lover like me is bound to visit it one day!

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Australia. Everybody seems to rave about her fresh air, big blue sky, beach, exotic animals like the koala, wombat, rottnest & even farm animals! Many migrated there for their relaxing lifestyle & fresh food. We used to see on TV commercials boasting on their fresh milk, meat, wine. Wished we were there to experience it and land our feet on the Sydney Opera House, the Pinacles or the Great Ocean Road.

Happy & sweet 16 Frasers Hospitality!

  15. Simon Kee says:

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Osaka, Japan! During my time, Osaka was the heart of Japan, although not as urbanized as Tokyo at present. All the activities are focused on Osaka and it is termed a place where you eat till you drop as there are way too much of delicious food! It exerts a peculiar charm, and a few architectural gems keep it interesting such as Osaka Castle. I fell in love with Osaka when I came across a picture of Osaka Castle when the cherry blossoms were full bloom in spring, it was indeed unforgettable!

  16. Jessie SIM says:

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Australia cos my best friend yearned for an overseas education and kept talking about it. Being financially disadvantaged, I knew there was no way I could have gone there but I got to know so much about Down Under.
About her cosmopolitan lifestyle, outback, vast varieties of animal species especially the adorable pouch-carrier marsupials, indigenous people & the many many ‘WORLDS’ it has.

Would love to dedicate one of my favourite oldies to Frasers Hospitality

My young kids love it after I introduced to them =)
May Frasers developments play this as pipe-in music in the elevator once in a while this year.
Am sure my girls would croon along. For sure!!!

At 18 I started studying french and continued studying this for 4 years in college, hoping it will come in useful the day I decide to go to France. At 26 I finally had a short work stint in another part of France and finally tested my language ability after 8 years, but alas, I went alone and for work. How I wish I can spend those moments now with my husband and child! Hopefully less than 20 years after this dream began.

When I was 16, Singapore is popular with Japanese shows and items. My dream place then of course was Japan. I have been to Hokkaido once.

Thus, my dream place now, which is unlikely to go is London!! 🙂 When I was young, I watch Home Alone every Christmas. I was so attracted to their shopping area and the park nearby, in a festive mood with lightings, christmas trees and carol and the snow as well!. Oh…. how I wish my dream suddenly comes true. 🙂

  39. Joe Wong says:

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Guangzhou China. It is because back then, my grandfather told me he lived at a province there before he came to Singapore to make living. He told me about his life as a kid, how he played with his neighbors and shared the same dreams of having a better life for their family.

My grandfather always told me if given a chance, he would want to bring me to Guangzhou and take a look at the place where he grew up in. We hoped to travel there together for a holiday and was looking forward to it. Thus I always wanted to go there and have a look, until today. Unfortunately we couldn’t travel together as he passed away a year later due to old age. However, Guangzhou is still a place for me as a holiday destination till now. I would really love to have a holiday there and take a look at the place where my grandfather grew up in.

Lastly, sweet 16 Frasers. May you get better and better worldwide.

I have always wanted to go to turkey. It is where East meets West. Colourful country with colourful people.

  47. Alvan Shane Loo says:

In my teenage years, being a latch-key kid and all, I was totally absorbed in my imaginary world of dysfunctional but happy (and always funny) families and incredibly smart cops who always solved crimes within half of hour (of virtual time) that was filled with and fueled by American sitcoms and detective shows like Moonlighting, Magnum P.I., and Family Ties, so it is no wonder that my dream holiday destination then was the city of New York, which I perceived as the centre of the US of A.

Cairns to visit the heart shaped island & snorkel around to enjoy under the world like Arielle the Mermaid.

When i was 16, i dreamed of going to Paris with … my mom !

I remember when she was beside of me showing me a lot of videos about the Eiffel tour and tell me that i would be there one day for purchasing my dream. She knows well that i dream of working in hospitality industry.

My mom is 50 now and she spent all her days in Vietnam for me, my younger sister and my father. She has never been in any cities, any countries except Vietnam, her native country.

Now, i’m in France for studying. At this moment, i can’t affort to take her to Paris. One day, if i could invite someone to go on holiday abroad, she would certainly the first one.

I haven’t met her for 3 years. Now when i remembre when i was 16, just miss her so much. She’s so awesome Thank you for wasting your life for me and our family mom and for everything you do for me.

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Los Angeles, USA just because that’s where Disneyland is! Back then, I was a teenaged girl obsessed with going to the ‘happiest place on earth’, going on all the cool rides and meeting Mickey Mouse & the gang! I got to go many many years later, and although I wasn’t a teenager anymore, it was still a fun and memorable experience.

  63. Cedric Tan says:

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was Mongolia and its wilderness. The series back then was Genghis Khan and his conquest of the world all the way to Europe. I loved the wide steppes where desert, mountains and huge natural freshwater lakes coexist. The romantic dreams of riding a horse through the ranges and visiting nomadic tribes and reveling in nature was so appealing that I wanted to pack my bags and go. Sadly, realities like school and lack of funds proved to be a block. Now, I guess I will have to really make a decision and drop everything for a while to relive my dreams. Like Genghis Khan said “If you’re afraid – don’t do it, – if you’re doing it – don’t be afraid!”

  64. Cheryl Tan says:

When I was 16, my dream holiday destination was to visit Forbidden City in Beijing. I feel so awed by the more than 5000 years of rich Chinese history encapsulated within the architecture and artifacts of the Forbidden Palace. There is of course the tales of fallen emperors and wars that continues to be made into movies today. Beijing itself is an extension of the Chinese culture that mixes the old and the modern. There are so much to take in and experience that a month may not do justice to the city. All said, Beijing was a dream because my mom simply could not afford to bring us for travel as a single parent. Now I supposed would be a good chance to bring my Mom to visit Beijing, fulfilling my childhood dreams should I win this contest!

  65. Alan Lim says:

[O]ldest and largest occupied castle in the world,Windsor Castle is my must-visit place in my bucket list,

[N]ightlife is super-vibrant and the charm of walking over the Thames after dark I genuinely adore.

Thanks Frasers Hospitality for this awesome giveaway.
