Greetings to all in Ho Chi Min City! Relive childhood memories with this giant rubber duck float, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. This jaw-dropping 26-meter high (that’s almost an 8-storey building!) rubber duck weighs a whopping 600 kilograms and is now on display at the Ban Nguyet (Crescent) Lake in District 7 for one month, starting from 27 April.
In 2007, Hofman started the duck tour, titled “Spreading joy around the world”, with the aim of recalling everyone’s childhood memories. He kicked it off by exhibiting the duck in his own country, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Since then, it has been displayed in different cities around the globe such as Lommel, Osaka, Sydney and Hong Kong. Ho Chi Minh is its 16th destination on its world tour.
Don’t miss your chance to check out the world’s largest rubber duck and reminisce the good old days!
