At Frasers Hospitality, we care about our Earth. We do our part by being mindful of our carbon footprint, by recycling and conserving energy. Here are some simple ways we can all preserve the environment – for ourselves, and our future generations.
#1: Don’t waste water
Turn off the tap when you’re brushing your teeth or washing your face. Over time, you’ll save tons of water!
#2: Once-a-week load
Only do your laundry when you’ve a full load. You’ll save both electricity and water. When we use less electricity, energy companies burn less fossil fuel to suit the demand.
#3: Change your bulbs
Energy saving bulbs may be slightly more expensive, but they’re worth the initial cost. They last longer and they’re more economical in the long run. What’s more – they go a long way towards saving our environment. Check out this energy saving light guide: http://shrinkthatfootprint.com/energy-saving-light-bulbs-led-cfl
#4: Bottle your own water
Think of all those plastic bottles of water going to waste! Around 90% of plastic bottles aren’t recycled, and these take years to break down. Carry around a reusable plastic or glass bottle for the day.
#5: Pay bills online
Many service providers offer the option of paper-less billing. Opt in and receive email notifications when your bills are due! You’ll be saving a countless number of trees.
Other than these tips and tricks, if you have any suggestions or ideas on how else we can reduce our carbon footprint, we would love to hear from you! Drop us a note on our Facebook page or in the comments below.
And the next time you’re staying with us, remember to tell us not to replace your linens! Do refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle to save our Earth for future generations.
