#2: Ayala Museum

Love museums? This is for you. The Ayala Museum in Manila chronicles rich Philippine history, including an exhibit about the development of Philippine maritime trade and colonial economy. Also on display are age-old objects from the country’s northern and southern cultural communities.


#3: Marikina Shoe Museum

Heard about the lengendary shoe collection of the former Philippine First Lady, Imelda Marcos? Here’s your chance to behold her astounding 8.5 shoe collection. You’ll also find shoes worn by former Philippine presidents, vice presidents, senators and so on. There’s also information on artisan shoe making!


#4: Binodo

Touted the world’s oldest Chinatown (400 years!) Binodo is located in the district of Manila. Here you’ll find herbal stores, restaurants and temples abound. Worth a trip if you’re looking for a taste of flavor.


#5: San Augustin

San Agustin in the oldest stone church in the Philippines. It was built in 1589 and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1993. Behold tall ceilings and beautiful architecture here.
